The Sanctuary of Knowledge: dungeon and play report

For the first/zeroth edition of FKRCon I wrote a small adventure for 2nd Age, a setting communicated through twelve classes.

It featured the remnants of a religious research facility, with decrepit immortal monks, a mutant who believes she is an angel, strange magic gone awry and squealing mutant fetuses. I wrote up the dungeon in this file

IT HAS LEGS!!!! FLoK DevDiary

About half a year ago (shit, time flies) I cobbled something together in a flash of inspiration and hyperfocus:

The Free Laws of Kriegsspiel.

It is the result of wanting to make something GLoG compatible, but more suited to my personal preferences. I warned during the announcement that I might very well never do anything with FLoK again, as the hyperfocus had ended and I was knee deep in Project Social which I wanted to finish first...

Session Report: The Brass Spire (one shot with a sequal)

I've really been enjoying making one shots recently. I don't play super frequently, but in the last month alone I made a one shot for Mork Borg that I tried out with some friends from a friend (and I learned that the Mork Borg system really isn't for me) and I made a one shot for the GLoG (specifically Arnold Kemp's setting Centerra) that I played with some folks I know from the FKR Collective discord server.

That last one, The Brass Spire, worked supprisingly well (though the players of the Mork Borg game said they had fun as well, I really didn't like the combat in that system so for me the experience was a bit more mixed), so I'd like to reflect on why that may be. Before that though, let me gives a brief overview of the adventure and a quick summary of what happened.
